I was referred to Dr. Gay by my PCP to have my tonsils removed. I have had problems for years and I am still to this day struggling with them. I was getting ready to go to Australia, I did not want to be half way across the world and have complications and not be able to eat certain things or talk like I needed to. Dr. Gay immediately decided not to do my surgery because I was willing to wait an extra 3 weeks. His response was "if you are willing to wait ,they obviously aren't bothering you that bad." Je then walked out of the room and the conversation was over. After this visit family members and different people in town wanted to know why he was no longer going to perform the surgery. His office gave this information out over the phone. Very unprofessional experience for me. Because of his notes I have yet to find a PCP that will refer me to somebody to talk about removing my tonsils so I can be completely healthy again!
