In closing this has been the worst school district i have ever sent my kids to. My older kids went to school in rocky ford for a short time and that was a joke too. But the best schools were colorado springs, castle rock & parker. Way different there than here.
Another compliant is that the kids that are not making the grade or are struggling in school get punished by not being able to participate in any school outing when in return it's the teachers that should be the ones to blame not the kids.
Teachers that dress like they are going to go out on a date. Staff & teachers with no real people & teaching skills.
This school district is a big joke just like the city. Nothing but lip service and nothing gets done.
Most other school districts have the buildings staffed and watching the kids outside by 7:00am. Not this school district i have seen kids outside with no supervision until 7:20 to 7:35am
The school district wants kids and parents to be punctual but what has been noted. school staff & teachers that show up right when the kids show up or show up late for school.
No wonder so many parents are pulling their kids out of this school district and going elsewhere or even home schooling their kids. To many issues going on with this school district but when you address it with anyone at the school or at the administration office it falls on death ears or gets shuffled under a big pile of papers.
Lunch program that does not give enough food for the kids to eat or undersized portions. Tasteless food with some moldy or expired food milk/juice being served to our kids.
Or the staff is so quick to threaten you with a call to the authorities when you call them on a mistake or on an issue.
