Bamboo Panda uses high quality ingredients in their food, and it's by far the finest Chinese food I've ever eaten. I always feel quite happy when I've eaten there, because most restaurants are disappointing, and I often feel like I just wasted my money. Bamboo Panda has never let me down, and it's a real blessing.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Otero County. The food tastes great, and it is served soon after being ordered. It's quite a bit of food, as well. Food allergies will always be a problem with Chinese recipes. I asked the waiter about my gluten-free options. He recommend only a couple of dishes. I believe both of them used white sauce, which excludes wheat flour and soy sauce. Buddha's delight is a vegan dish, but it isn't gluten-free. Steamed white rice is the safest option, really. I haven't been gluten-free for long, but I remember how tasty other "unsafe" dishes were.
After some prodding, the man at the desk at the Hampton Inn suggested Bamboo Panda. Maybe they're trying to keep Bamboo Panda a secret in La Junta.
Good quality Chinese food. When they first re-opened 2 months ago they had so many people it was about 2 hour wait for take out even. Now it is back to normal and pretty good service. Their lunch special is reasonably priced and good quality. Only downside is if it does get packed at lunch and you have more than 1 person with you, you might be eating at different times because the way the cook operates is he tries to combine dishes to save time, but this causes people at the same table to eat separately. Cook needs to figure this out quickly else he will have very angry customers.
If you like Chinese this is the place to go! It's good. The atmosphere is nice.
Best Chinese food I have ever had. Love this place. Staff is awesome. Food comes out fast and tastes delicious.
The decor is fluorescent, and being a stranger in town I had everyone's attention for a minute or two, but the food is as good as any Chinese I've had anywhere. We were in La Junta for a family deal, so later that evening I sent my sister for her dinner. She loved it, and then the next day we went back for brunch. Three visits in two days. Can't beat that! Service was perfect and super friendly. If I lived in La Junta, I'd never have to cook again.
