The first time I went there I ordered the carnitas. I'll give that the food had a good flavor but it was lukewarm. As if the food had been sitting a while or they took a plate out of the refrigerator and didn't microwave it long enough. It certainly wasn't warm enough to have come right off of the stove. Went there for lunch and I ordered the chile plate. I wanted to give Mexico City a second try. At most other Mexican restaurants when you see a chile plate on a menu it comes with either beef, pork, or chicken in the chile. I made the assumption that that's what I would get. All Mexico City's chile plate had was beans, fideos(the Vermicelli), and a small spoonful of green chile sauce. So essentially it's a serving of two sides with a little bit of chile. But they call it a meal. Most of the plate was Vermicelli, with a small spoonful of beans. That weren't even refried.
Our cable installer recommended this place - and we're so glad he did! The food was amazing and the atmosphere is like being in someone's home. The staff were all friendly. If you're looking for the usual tacos and burritos you get everywhere else - you'll be surprised. This is true homestyle Mexican - and get the vermicelli and the beans for sides - you're mouth and stomach will be so happy! No wonder they've been listed as one of the top 10 Mexican restaurants in the state!

Just about there Awesome reviews,
I don't think there will be a third visit.
Eat there, did not like it, vermicelli is Mexican fideo, paid a little more than $13 for a spoon full of beans, fideo and a hamburger patty, they charged extra if it's smothered. Gross!!
I wish I could give this place a higher rating, simply because it's a local staple, but I honestly can't make myself do it. The food is just... Ok? It's a very Tex-Mex style restaurant with simply average versions of the popular Mexican dishes. It's also a little over-priced for what you get. The service is good, if a little slow. Staff are very nice, decor and atmosphere very classic Tex-Mex style.
